By the 15th century coffee crossed the Red Sea. Above the port of Mocha, a wild fruit became a cultivated drink.

Mecca, Cairo, Istanbul: people came for the drink and stayed for the talk. The coffeehouse was born.

Merchant ships carried coffee into Venice, Vienna, London, and Paris. A habit arrived with the cargo.

News, argument, business, invention. Ideas moved between tables as fast as the pots.
Chapter 09 / Expansion
A PLANT PLANTED AROUND THE WORLD.
Planted across the tropical belt through colonial trade. The cup's comfort and its cost share one history.
Chapter 10 / Today
THE RITUAL BECOMES A CRAFT.
Roast, grind, water, extraction. The old ritual became a precise craft with a global language.

AND THEN WE MEET AGAIN.
